Nanako's Story
In this day and age of social media and information overload, applying to MBA programs can be confusing and overwhelming. Add on the intimidation that comes with applying to top schools (I certainly felt this!) and you may feel discouraged and frustrated. If you’re applying as an international student for US schools, there’s also the added uncertainty of the US immigration system and the challenges with obtaining financial aid. I’ve experienced this too.
I’m here to help you wade through all the information out there and address the uncertainties, giving you the freedom to focus on crafting a strong application that reflects your true and authentic self.
I graduated with a joint MBA and MPA/ID (Masters in Public Administration, International Development) from Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School. I was fortunate enough to receive a close to full ride at both schools during my 3-year program. After graduating, I joined a leadership development program at the International Finance Corporation (IFC, the private sector arm of the World Bank) and was based in Nairobi, Kenya, working on the development of large-scale renewable energy projects across emerging markets. Prior to HBS, I worked in public health across Southern Africa and in management consulting in NYC.
